Wondercon Comic

One week ago we had Wondercon here in San Francisco, and I did just about everything but sign books at the show, and so I documented it in my sketchbook as a comic so you know what I was up to. Click the pages below to read!

  • I have a photo of the Rainbow Unicorn Girl on my site, I think you did a great job captureing her in your sketch :)

  • Really sweet work. It has been a pleasure to get to know about it and enjoy it.

I found most of the fun for WonderCon was in Artist’s Alley. For some reason, the rest of the floor just looked like the same old merch by the same old vendors.

Going down through the autograph rows looking at all the former SF stars, just bummed me out for some reason. I mean, Erin Grey has to have done SOMETHING since Buck Rogers.

In contrast, Artist’s Alley was alive, cheerful, excited and vibrant. Lots of great work on display by people who have not “made it.” They were there for the money, but most were there for the love. I could feel it.

Re: Theremin players- The Maker’s Fair last year had a guy who was selling theremins, doing an amazing rendition of “Over the Rainbow.” With the Fair coming up, if you like that kind of thing, you might want to catch his act. He was the best I’d ever seen.

  • [...] different when we enter the Bunny Boy’s world, and that feels good to me. Also, check out my sketchbook comic from last week at Wondercon. [...]

  • Haha It was so awesome to meet you!
