The pages are starting to come together. Last night I finally got the end of the book plotted out, and it’ll still shift around a bit,  but I’m feeling good about having a plotline nailed down. This book is going to get finished one day yet! I’m going to post an event calendar soon, I have a table at the SF Zine Fest and I’m doing a few book readings as well. This is the first time I’ve spent more than three weeks on a single page. I had a very successful 2-week class teaching comic book art to kids, they came up with a lot of crazy, cool cartoons. I inked this page as a demo of various techniques in class. This leads me to my new decision that I have to draw my pages in batches rather than one at a time, but this may get in the way of regular updates, so stay tuned.

I recently saw my friend’s band “Fuxa” play a show and the sound was optimistic and yet worrying and dreamy, and I decided Dee would definitely be a fan. You can check them out here.
